Have you ever felt spiritually dead, decaying in your failures, or doomed by your circumstances? In this powerful sermon, "From Tomb to Table," Rev. Chuckie takes us through the remarkable story of Lazarus from John 11-12, revealing how Jesus transforms our spiritual graves into places of divine fellowship.

The message begins with a profound examination of Lazarus's condition – dead, decaying, and seemingly beyond hope.  skillfully draws parallels between Lazarus's physical death and our spiritual deadness, showing how sin blinds us to God's presence even when He stands near our tombs. Through vivid storytelling and Scripture, he demonstrates that no one is too far gone for Jesus's resurrection power.

What makes this message especially moving is the progression from death to dinner. Jesus doesn't merely raise Lazarus from the dead; He invites him to sit at His table. This beautiful metaphor captures the complete restoration Christ offers – not just rescuing us from spiritual death but bringing us into intimate fellowship with Himself. As Rev. Chuckie declares, "From the tomb to the table – this is the journey of every believer."

The sermon reaches its climax with a passionate altar call, reminding listeners that Jesus still speaks with authority today, calling each of us by name to "come forth" from whatever tomb holds us captive. Whether you're feeling spiritually numb, haunted by past sins, or wondering if God has forgotten you, this message will rekindle your faith in the God who transforms graves into gateways to His presence.

Experience the powerful truth that God's delays are not His denials, and discover how the same voice that called Lazarus from death to life still speaks resurrection power into your circumstances today.

Speaker 2:

Hello, this is Austin Griffiths, the pastor of Open Praise Fellowship Holiness Church in Easley, South Carolina. Thank you for listening to Holiness Preaching Online. Speaker 3:

John, chapter number 11. Praise the Lord. Appreciate everybody being in the house of the Lord today, looking forward to this day in the Lord. Amen, trust you are. Also. Amen, appreciate how he has blessed our church and our church family. Let me say on that note, thank you so much for a great day, day yesterday. Those that were able to come out some could not make it, we do understand that, but thank you to those who were able to make. It had a great time, amen, just such a good time with our church family. Amen, everybody just got alone, had a great spirit about yourself and we appreciate that and I know brother johnson appreciate that. Amen. Amen to know that his people can get together and have a little bit of fun and fellowship. Amen, there's a little bit of food involved right there at the end. Appreciate amen, sister dunn making that pizza run for us. Amen the lord's good, isn't he? Praise the lord. Amen, the lord is good to his people. Amen, john, chapter number 11. Appreciate Amen the Lord's good, isn't he? Praise the Lord. Amen, the Lord is good to His people. Amen. John, chapter number 11. Appreciate our pastor today having the confidence and asking us to stand in for him. We do want to hold him up in prayer today. Amen. We'll say more about that in just a little while. John, chapter 11. Let's look at verse 32 today Amen.

Speaker 3:

The Bible says Then, when Mary was come where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet saying unto him Lord, if thou hast been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus saw, or therefore saw her weeping and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit and was troubled and said when have you laid him? They said unto him Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, behold how he loved him. And some of them said Could not this man which opened the eyes of the blind have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, coming to the grave, it was a cave and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he hath been dead four days. Jesus said unto her, said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, then shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone, placed the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lift up his eyes and said Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me, and I knew that thou hearest always, but because of the people which stand by, I said it that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice Lazarus, come forth. And he thus spoken. He cried with a loud voice Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot, with grave clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. And Jesus said unto them Loose him and let him go. Look over in chapter 12, if you will please, at verse number 1.

Speaker 3:

Then Jesus, six days before the passover, came to bethany where lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead, verse two. There they made him a supper and martha served, but lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Praise God, hallelujah, if the Lord will help us, I want to preach this morning a message from the tomb to the table. Hallelujah, aren't you glad this morning that Jesus rescued us? Hallelujah, just like he did Lazarus, from the tomb to the table, would you be so kind to raise your hands toward heaven and ask God to anoint His wonderful Word. Father, we love you. Thank you again for your Spirit, thank you again for your presence that we feel today, lord, as we endeavor to preach your Word. Lord, help us, o God, and anoint us. Bring us to an altar today. Lord, I know it's your will to touch somebody, to save a soul, lord, to revive someone in this service, to love on them as only you can today. We will be careful today and give you all the glory and give you all of the praise today. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Thank you, lord. I'm so glad to be a child of the King. Aren't you? Amen, appreciate His wonderful presence, amen.

Speaker 3:

We see today in our text that Jesus has come by and has raised Lazarus from the dead. Praise God. We do not know this morning how often Jesus visited the Bethany home there of Mary and Martha and Lazarus. We know that it was definitely some type of sweet spot for Lazarus. It was a place of very few on earth where his wounded spirit, brother Josh, his spirit, found rest. Hallelujah, it was the home and Bethany of the trio, mary and Martha and Lazarus. Praise God this morning. These three, they loved one another. Each one of them had faith in the Lord and in turn, each one of them was equally loved by the Lord, hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

The Bible tells you and I, in the book of Acts, chapter number 10, that God is no respecter of persons. Praise the Lord, aren't you thankful for that, that he loves every one of us equally. Praise God, proverbs, chapter number 8, verse 17. The Bible says that I love them, that love me. Praise the Lord, I sure thank Him for His love today, don't you? And as early this morning as I was praying and seeking god preparing for today's service, that was my heart's prayer that god would come down as only he can, and he would love on his people in this service today.

Speaker 3:

So we see here this morning in our text that sickness has come. Sickness has come and invaded the home and these sisters. They now turn their need toward the Lord. Hallelujah. Today. They're going to quickly learn, as we read in our text. They're going to learn that in this text, that the wisdom of divine love, it does not always shield Its objects, it does not always shield Its people from suffering, it does not always shield us from sorrow, and even unto death.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah that even though this trio here today, this brother and these two sisters, they were united, amen. They had the utmost tender bond, if you will, of affection and they had such a friendship with the Lord. This family finds that they are permitted to experience sickness. They are permitted to experience anguish. The Bible tells us in Job, chapter 14, that that man that is born of a woman Hallelujah Is a few days and full of trouble. Just because God loves us, just because we are people of the living God, that does not mean we're not going to ever face trouble. That does not mean we're never going to get sick, we're never going to hurt in our body, hallelujah. But what that does mean that every time we are faced with a situation of heartache and trouble and pain, amen, because we belong to him, hallelujah. He promised he'd be with us all, the way he promised he'd never leave us. No matter how bad the pain may be, he'll be the pain taker.

Speaker 4:

Hallelujah, he's the chain breaker.

Speaker 3:

It makes no difference when we belong to God. Hallelujah, praise the Lord. A man that is born of a woman Are a few days and full of trouble. Praise the Lord In. A man that is born of a woman are a few days and full of trouble. Praise the Lord. In our text throughout the Bible, amen. We're not really told exactly the nature of the sickness of Lazarus. But I can tell you this morning it must have been very serious, serious enough that these sinners, they got to a place that they had to call on their healer. Hallelujah. They had to call on the friend of Lazarus. You ever been to that place? Amen, beside your pastor being number one. Amen beside God. You ever got to the place that you know of a friend? Hallelujah. I know my friend will hear what I've got to say. I know my friend cares about what I'm dealing with.

Speaker 3:

I know I've got a friend that loves me. They'll go to God in prayer, amen. They'll take the burden upon their heart and they'll help me. These sisters got to the place. They had to call on God. They needed the Lord to show up on the scene. Amen, let's call the Lord, let's talk to Him. That's Lazarus' friend. Aren't you thankful today that you have a friend, even in this service, this morning, when heartache and pain, when trouble and trial, even death has come.

Speaker 3:

But thank God, there's a friend, uncle Marshall. That'll reach way down, he'll come down to our level, brother Brandon, and he'll be that friend that's sticking closer than a brother. Hallelujah, we'll never be alone and no matter what we face, we'll never, ever be alone. Hallelujah, we'll never be alone and no matter what we face, we'll never, ever be alone. Hallelujah, amen. It had to be serious that they called on the Lord. John 11, 5. The Bible said Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. Now, this love that was chosen here, this chosen friendship, it proves that he loves every different kind of personality. Hallelujah, every one of us in this service today, we all have different personalities, but that don't mean, brother and sister, that God loves them more than he loves you. Hallelujah, amen. He is a God of no respect to a person. Amen. He loves you just as much as he loves Brother Johnson. He loves you just as much as he loves Brother Mike Roberts.

Speaker 4:

Hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

I feel something getting on me.

Speaker 3:

I said he loves you just as much. You're just as important. Aren't you thankful today that he loves you enough? He thought you was worth saving this morning. He thought you was worth picking you up out of the miry pits of hell and he said I'll carry you all the way. Hallelujah, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. I said my friend Jesus loves you. Praise God. So the Bible tells us in John rather chapter 11, that he loved Martha and her sister. And Lazarus, amen. He loved Martha. Let's look at Martha. He loved her. Martha was the active. Martha was the practical keeper of the home. Martha, she was the one that was intent on looking after the material comfort of her guest. Amen.

Speaker 3:

Then we have Mary. Mary was quite different than Martha. Was Mary? She was somewhat anxious, she was somewhat restless, and her temperament of her sister was different. She was spiritual. Mary was gifted with a tender sympathy. And then you have Lazarus. Lazarus was a man of few words, lazarus was a quiet man. But today, all three of them, brother and sister, they were devoted to the Lord, oh yes.

Speaker 3:

They were devoted to appreciating the Lord and His love in their own way. As Brother Charles said this morning Amen. Every one of them were dedicated to the Lord in their own way, Hallelujah. Now, this morning we see that when Jesus received the news of Lazarus, when he heard that he was sick.

Speaker 3:

But I want you to realize, because of his omniscience, jesus already knew. He already knew the condition of Lazarus, amen. He told his disciples. He said this sickness will not, amen, have death as its final resort. Hallelujah, amen, but was being permitted for two things, and that was that to further and accomplish the purpose of the glory of God and also that God himself might be glorified. He not only permitted the sickness, brother and sister, but God allowed the sickness to continue and then he allowed it to end in death. Yet these two sisters we see right here this morning, they learned that God's delays are not always denials. I said God's delays in our situations and in our problems, they're not always denials. Hope is deferred. I said there comes a time in our life when God says you got to wait just a little while. Amen, hope is deferred, but it's not God's denial.

Speaker 4:

Amen, and after a while God will reverse it.

Speaker 3:

And God will come down.

Speaker 4:

To your rescue.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah, it's not going to end in a denial. Oh, brother and sister, oh the love, oh the pain that sometimes love permits. Oh, and we say does God really love me? Oh, what love Amen Sometimes that love it permits. God really loved me? Oh, what love Amen Sometimes that love it permits pain.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah. And Mary and Martha, they were sure that Jesus was going to come. They knew that Jesus was going to come, but just because, as I've already said earlier, that Jesus loved them, amen, the Bible tells you, and I therefore, he abode two days in the place where he was, and those friends, those that were standing around, amen, amen, no doubt. Where is the Lord? Where is he? Could I tell you today that no wonder these two sisters, we find them pondering. Could I tell you today that no wonder these two sisters, we find them pondering. We find these two sisters With minds that are so complex, or perplexed rather, over this strange delay, this hope deferred. Hallelujah. But, lord, if thou has been here, my brother had not died.

Speaker 3:

Oh, how they were going to learn, right here in this text, that there were no neglect. I said there were no neglect, only a purpose of love in the delay. Amen. You know what the Scriptures say. It talks about the love of the Lord. I've already told you that this whole situation was that God would get to glory. Hallelujah, you ever been there? I felt in prayer early this morning. I pray that God will love on somebody in this service today.

Speaker 3:

Oh you ever felt like God. Where are you at? Lord, don't you hear my cry? Lord, don't you see my family? Lord, don't you see my situation? Lord, don't you care, care not that we perish in the whole time. Amen. When you feel like God is not there, he's only silent. I said it's only for a moment that that hope is deferred and is in his plans Amen To come back and to rescue his people. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

Jesus rescued me. Praise the Lord. I said Jesus rescued me. Oh, it must have been a painful event, oh painful for the Lord to wound Mary and Martha the way he did by allowing Lazarus to die. But he wanted to reveal to them, and also to us in this service this morning, his ability and His power as he left for that Bethany home that day, amen.

Speaker 3:

He gave those bystanders around Him a great description that day Amen. He knew that Lazarus had died. He already knew that. He gave those bystanders around him a great description that day Amen. He knew that Lazarus had died. He already knew that. Amen. And he said our friend Lazarus sleepeth, but I go that I may awake him out of his sleep. Hallelujah, hallelujah, brother and sister.

Speaker 3:

No doubt those disciples that day thought he was referring to as a natural sleep. But being right there, jesus plainly says these words. He said Lazarus is dead, amen. So, having that, I want to show you something this morning. I want to look at the condition of Lazarus. Jesus said he was a dead man. You see, brother and sister, lazarus is no longer sick in body, amen. That sickness is no longer prolonging Now it has taken his life. Now he's not sick, he's dead. I said he's a dead man. Lazarus is in a tomb Surrounded by family and friends that are mourning. They're weeping. Even the Lord himself shows up at the grave site Amen. But here talking of Lazarus, lazarus is not aware that Jesus is in his presence.

Speaker 3:

Because the Bible says that Jesus just said that he's a dead man. He don't realize that he's in the presence of the Lord. Hallelujah, oh hallelujah. Lazarus was a dead man. I want you to note right here his condition. In Lazarus' condition he is a picture of someone who does not know the Lord. Amen. I felt like coming and preaching to somebody this morning. Maybe you're lost here today, on a Sunday morning. You don't know the Lord. Praise the Lord. I said. Maybe you feel like you don't know the Lord. Amen. In Ephesians 2, chapter 2, verse 1 says and you have, he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin. You see brother and sister in that lost condition. The sinner cannot, brother Charles Siebert, that sinner cannot, he cannot sense the presence of the Lord. Amen.

Speaker 4:

He wished not that, the presence of the Lord is not with him.

Speaker 3:

When you're in that lost condition, you don't realize your feelings are shut out, your sight is blinded and you don't realize that the Lord himself is walking amongst you.

Speaker 1:

He's walking in your presence, but because you're in a lost condition.

Speaker 3:

And Lazarus you are a dead man.

Speaker 1:

Oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

Oh, praise the Lord, oh God, help us today. He was a dead man, a dead person. A sinner cannot enjoy the fellowship with God. Hallelujah, they are dead and they are therefore in a pitiful Hallelujah. They are dead and they are therefore in a pitiful condition. Praise the Lord. And then we see, lazarus was decayed. Verse 39 talks about Martha. Said Lord, by this time he stinketh. You see, brother and sister, in those days they didn't embalm bodies the way we do today. What a pitiful sight, what a pitiful smell. Oh, hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

I read of a story of a young lady that took a mission trip, brother Ricky, to Haiti and on that trip, when she got back, one of the comments she made was it stinks so bad over there. There were places that the stench was so difficult to endure that at one moment the young lady tells in her story that I thought I was going to vomit. She said it stinks so bad, but the sad reality is, brother and sister, is that people who live there, they get used to it. People who live there, it does not bother them, amen. Yesterday, before we left to go to the fun day, my baby girl decides she's going to cook some noodles without water. Help us, god, it stunk my house from one end to the other. We had to let it air out all evening. But you see, when we came back home and I turned the AC back on Brother Shane, it was caught in the vents and it all over again.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

But after a while we got used to it. After a while, brother Ricky, it didn't stink any longer. When you live and sin for so long and you don't realize that the Lord is dealing with you that the Lord is right there in your presence, but you're as liars and you're dead. I said you're a dead man, you're a dead individual and the stink don't bother you no more. Hey, the stench of your sin don't bother you anymore. I pray to God today. Come on, somebody, won't you raise your hands and say, god, help me today.

Speaker 3:

Oh, hallelujah, it don't bother you anymore. The smell, the stench of sin no longer bothers you, hallelujah. Oh, do you know, brother and sister, that before the Lord found you, the stench of your sin it didn't bother you? Oh, I said, before the Lord found you, in the condition you were in, you didn't realize it. Oh, help me, god, I don't. Anyway. I said, when God found you, the stink that was on you, oh, the stench of that past sin, of that present sin. But you don't realize it. You don't realize it, everybody can smell it. You don't realize that you stink. Oh, but thank God, there's a friend. Can you say amen, his condition.

Speaker 3:

He was decayed, and then we find that he was doomed, verse 32,. If thou hast been here, how many times you said those words. If the Lord would just come, if the Lord would just step in. But we feel, brother Brandon Breland, as Lazarus. We are doomed. Lord, where are you at?

Speaker 3:

It was almost as if they had given up on Lazarus. They had expected the fate. He was dead and nothing could be done. He's gone, he's a dead man. Oh, the Lord, he could step in, he could have done it at any time At some point. But now the situation, brother Frankie Is too far gone, now he's dead and we can't do nothing about it. But I come today. I beg to differ. Today we must be careful, brother and sister. I said, you and I, we've got to be careful In how we evaluate our circumstances. God has the final say so. I said, god has the final say so Over your situation, over that circumstance. Today you may be here this morning and you feel that you are doomed. You feel like you came in this morning and it's your doomed day.

Speaker 3:

You feel like a sinner, you feel like somebody that's gone too far.

Speaker 3:

Help us, lord. Help us, lord. You feel like you're lost. Maybe you're lost in this service today, or maybe you're a Christian, a saint, sitting on the pew, but you feel as though you're a sinner. You feel lost this morning. Oh Lord, where are you at Lord? I'm right here. Where are you at Lord? I'm looking for you. What happened, lord? You feel this morning? Maybe you have stumbled under the pressure of that failure, maybe you've gone too far. Hallelujah, my situation is impossible. Hear me this morning, saints of God. You say my situation is impossible. I can't see no way out. I feel like Lazarus feels today, preacher, as if though I'm doomed, as if though I'm decaying. Can I remind you this morning that all of us in this house, we were doomed. I said we were decaying, we were as a dead man, but today I'll come to peace with somebody when you find the Lord.

Speaker 3:

And the Lord comes down to where you are and he steps right in the middle of your situation. After you come to know the Lord I said after you know the Savior.

Speaker 3:

Things will begin to change. Hallelujah, hallelujah, oh. We were all doomed until we came to know the Lord, hallelujah. Then we come to where we see there was a call that came to Lazarus. I said there was a call and that call was a personal call. I want somebody to hear me this morning. I said it was a personal call. I want somebody to hear me this morning. I said it was a personal call.

Speaker 3:

Lazarus, aren't you glad he knows your name, aren't you glad? And even when you feel like it's your doomsday, there's a God in heaven that knows you by name Lazarus. Come forth Today. There's a God in heaven that knows you by name Lazarus. Come forth Now. Come on, I'm going to tell you the gospel. The gospel is for the whole world, brother Frankie. The gospel is for the whole world, whosoever will. The Bible says. But I want to also tell you God deals with individuals. I said God deals with individuals. I said God Deals with individuals, hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

You remember when God dealt with you about your lost condition. You remember when, god, you felt conviction grip your heart. Hallelujah, oh. You gripped the pew in front of you. The preacher's talking to me. That's right at me. You ever felt like when God's got your number, that he's pointing out just everything that you do. You feel like God's got your number and he points out just your sin. I pray you to fall in this house this morning. God has come to love on you today. And then, finally, after God dealt with you and finally you give in, finally you begin to call on the Lord, finally you begin to sing. It's me, oh Lord. It's me, oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer. It's right here, right here, me, oh Lord, it's me. It ain't my brother and it ain't my sister, it ain't for them, but it's me, oh Lord. And finally you got up from that altar and you ran to the altar of repentance and God graciously saved you.

Speaker 3:

Do you remember that day? Come on somebody, I said. Do you remember when God began to love on you?

Speaker 1:

And God called you.

Speaker 3:

Hey, so and so-and-so. Come forth, come here, come closer. I want to love on you. Thanks be to God, he's still in the saving business. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Maybe you feel like a sinner today. Preacher, I've been battling with it. Preacher, preacher, I'm a little low.

Speaker 3:

Today there's a call and then one of the most powerful scriptures in the Bible, the shortest verse of the King James Version word of God. The Bible says in verse 35, jesus wept, the tears of Jesus, the tears. Jesus looked at those sisters and he saw those suffering tears. Have you ever been amazed sometime, when you just feel the presence of God and you begin to weep and cry, those tears that fall off your face, it does something. To the Lord. I say God, help me to cry today. God, help me to melt with tears. Let the tears fall off my face.

Speaker 3:

The Bible said brother and sister, jesus wept. He saw these suffering sisters, he saw their hurt and their pain. And the Bible tells you and I that the bystanders, they said Behold, oh, he loved him. Oh, the master had so much love for him that is now dead. Brother and sister, it's the same way with you and I Amen. If ye abide in him, he'll abide in us. I said, if we'll draw nigh to him, he'll draw nigh to us. Brother Brandon, you're here this morning and the devil's pushed you in the corner and you say, oh God where are you at, I feel?

Speaker 3:

like it's my doom day. I pray, lord, help us to cry. I pray, lord, help us to get under the spout of the Holy Ghost and feel the love of the Savior, hallelujah. You see, right here now we're seeing some changes become, right here in the situation of Lazarus. We see his situation, we see his problems, we see his condition. The Bible, the Lord, said he's dead. Brother Josh, he's a dead man. He's doomed. It's over with Amen. No more hope. He's doomed. It's over with Amen. No more hope. He's gone too far. Four days is too long. Four days now he's decaying and he's stinking. Four days he's a stink. Four days he's a stench.

Speaker 3:

In the name of Jesus, when I say this morning that four days is nothing, when God, when the Lord decides to show up on your doomsday and he decides to show up at the graveside and he decides to show out, I said the Lord will show up and He'll show out right at the graveside. Too far gone. Preacher, you don't know my past, preacher, you don't know my failure. You don't know my sin. God did. Did you catch that? God did. But he showed up at the grave site. Lazarus, come forth. He showed up and he forgave you. When mom and daddy said there ain't no hope. I've seen the young man. When mom and daddy said there ain't no hope, I seen the young man. When I seen the condition of that young man, I met him face to face and I looked him in the eye and I said it's so good to see you. All he said was you too. But I'm here to tell you, I'm here to serve notice from the devil. He ain't gone too far, hear me today. In our eyes that's a long way out there. He ain't gone too far for the Savior. If that young man is out there and he's in the condition that he is out there, you think your condition this morning in here is too far for the Savior, too much for God. No, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 3:

I come to preach this morning, on a Sunday morning. Hey, from the tomb to the table, from the tomb To the table, hallelujah. I prayed all morning. This would get in your heart. We see right here that, as the man, as the man, the Bible says Jesus wept. I said, as the man, he wept, hallelujah, oh, yes, hey, god, as God, he cried Lazarus, come forth. And then, as the man, he sympathizes with us in our sorrow. He sympathizes with us in our separation, but as God, brother and sister, he comes and as God he can banish them all. I said the man, he weeps, but God, he banish them all. I said to man he weeps, but God, he banishes them all, won't you?

Speaker 3:

raise your hands and thank God for a risen.

Speaker 4:

Savior today.

Speaker 3:

It's His will to pick you up out of the grave in your spiritual life today. Spiritually, I feel dead. Spiritually I'm decaying. I feel like I'm doomed. Oh, but thank God, there's a change coming for Lazarus, hallelujah when Jesus came to the tomb, where Lazarus was Brother and sister. Everything, everything. That means nothing's left out. That means A through Z, out. That means A through Z, amen. That means A double L. That means every bit of it began to change. Death reigned, oh yes it did.

Speaker 3:

Decay, brother Josh had begun to set in. But still in all, that's not too much for God to hold somebody. I said that's not too much for God. Come on somebody. I said that's not too hard for God. Everything began to change. He's coming out of that tomb. He's coming up Because a Savior has came on the scene the Lord has come by. And when the change began to take place, it brought life.

Speaker 4:

Can you say amen, verse 44.

Speaker 3:

And he that was dead came forth. Lazarus, come forth. Oh, what great obedience. Hallelujah. Even when we're as a dead man, we can't feel the presence of God, we can't hear the voice of God because of carnality, but in His love and in His mercy and grace, amen. Lazarus, as a dead man, he heard that boldness, he heard that authority. Oh, I feel it today. I said he heard it. Lazarus, get out of there.

Speaker 4:

Get over here where I'm at.

Speaker 3:

You don't belong in there. Hey, god said, or the Lord said, god for your glory, that these that are standing around, I want them to hear it, I want them to see it. Have you ever thought about why, god, are you doing it the way you're doing it? It's for his glory. I said he will get the glory for what you're doing it the way you're doing it. It's for His glory. I said he will get to glory for what you're dealing with and what you're facing. He will get to glory. I'm almost done. From the tomb to the table and we see that Lazarus came forth, that he that was dead now is coming out. Brother and sister, this was not just some future quickening, this was just not some immediate change. It was the power of God. It was to give the glory to Him. I think it was Brother Frankie. Maybe yesterday it just came to my mind Talking about two elderly people that were suffering with COVID.

Speaker 3:

Everybody, most everybody's, had COVID. You know what to do. I almost lost my father, but those two elderly began to pray and call on God You're talking about. When you're down with COVID, you feel like you're doomed, you're sick, but those two elderlies, they began to call on the name of the Lord. They knew their God. They felt like they were thrown in the fiery furnace. It was their doomsday. They were going to start stinking, decaying and rotting, but they began to call on God and the story says that that brother said that God instantly healed him. That's the first I've heard of somebody instantly being healed, of COVID Instantly.

Speaker 3:

Look at the picture in this text today Instantly, lazarus come forth, straight up, wrapped up, bound Napkin on his eyes, go ahead and say it. Oh, that authority. When God says that's enough. No, no, no, no, get up, get up, brother Sidley, here this morning I don't see Brother Sidley. No, brother Sidley, tell Sister Madison. No, get out of here, come on, let's go. That's what God does. No, can't do it. Lord, I'm doomed, I'm dead. I ain't strong enough, I'm weak. Oh God, something happened and God said nope, not, none of that, not today. Satan, get up, come forth and immediately Amen. Something happened, brother Brandon, something took place. The Lord showed up on Lassus' doom day, the.

Speaker 1:

Lord showed up, he brought him out of the tomb.

Speaker 3:

And we read in chapter 12, verse 1. He's got a place at the master's table.

Speaker 4:

It's God's will for somebody to get up.

Speaker 3:

It's God's will, on a Sunday morning, get up from where you are, come forth, hallelujah, the Lord will show up on your doomsday. The Lord will show up on your doomed day. The Lord will show up and he will come and rescue you when you think it's all over. Nothing else can be done. That's how they felt. He's decaying, he's stinking, stinky flesh. Oh hallelujah. Four days is too late. No, not for this Savior, it's for the glory of God.

Speaker 3:

I preached to you some years ago about the victory of the vulture. I passed a vulture yesterday. I said God, help that stinky, nasty bird. But that's heaven's sanitizing crew. When we feel like we are left for dead and the heat of hell is baking on us, what are you going to do now? You've been squatted on the roadside, the flies are flying around you. You're decaying, you're stinking, hey, but one thing left to do, and that's put up a roadside cross, because you're dead until the Lord shows up. Hey, I hope you're feeling this today. You came in this morning so heavy burdened, lord, I don't know how much longer I can go. Hey, what about it?

Speaker 3:

New converts, those of you that are just coming to know the Lord. The devil's been working on you. The devil's been lying to you. Don't grow weary. And well, do that. Look at the master. Today you feel like I'm just about gone. I'm almost dead. I'm down for the count. It's God's will for the Lord to show up at the grave site and to pick you up, bring you out of that grave. Amen, you're on your way.

Speaker 3:

There's one of the greatest invites you've ever received on a Sunday morning. And the master's saying come, come and die. Pull up to my table. I got a feast waiting on you. Hallelujah, are you hungry this morning? Are you hungry For heaven's buffet today At the master's table? Hallelujah, praise the Lord After a man is saved. When that man or woman becomes saved, they're in their grave clothes. But thank God, brother Charles, you don't have to stay in that condition. You don't have to stay that way.

Speaker 3:

Zechariah 3 and 4, the Bible said and he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying he's talking right here concerning the filthy garments of Joshua, the high priest, notice what he said. Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him, the Scripture says that he said Behold, I have caused an iniquity to pass from thee and I will clothe thee with chains of raiment. Hallelujah, god's got a brand new wardrobe for you. You say, preacher, well, I've been saved for three months, I've been saved for three years, I've been saved for 30 years, yeah, but you came in on a Sunday morning. You came in and felt like you were dead. Feeling like you were dead, feeling like you were doomed, you were decaying, you're stinking.

Speaker 4:

So it's God's will Amen to help you this morning he's got a change of clothes.

Speaker 3:

I said he's got something brand new.

Speaker 3:

All your iniquity has been gone away. Hallelujah, praise the Lord, verse 44. And his face was bound the next change we see as I come to a close. It brought light. Now the Bible says his face was bound until the Lord showed up. We're blinded, can't see until we get to the Lord, until the Lord shows up To our rescue. Jesus rescued me. Hallelujah, acts 9 and 18. And immediately they fell from his eyes, as it had been scales. And he received his sight forthwith and arose and was baptized. This is a good day for somebody to be saved. And he received his sight forthwith and arose and was baptized. This is a good day for somebody to be saved. This is a good morning, this morning, for somebody to get revived or renewed. It's a good morning for somebody to get up from where you are and come forth and be baptized. Hallelujah, leave here with a fire burning in your heart, speaking in a heavenly language. When the Lord showed up, things begin to change. Now I'm coming to where I want to get, to Come to a close.

Speaker 3:

Chapter 12, verse 1. It brought a luxury. In chapter 12, our text said in 6 days Before the Passover, jesus is now going to Bethany. He's going there for a gathering, he's going there for fellowship, for eating, to have dinner in His honor. Hallelujah. Thank God for chapter 12. Praise the Lord To be with Bethany, or in Bethany with the trio all over again. It's supposed to be just two of them Because there was a dead man already in the grave, hallelujah. But now Jesus is going back to Bethany again for a reunion, brother Frankie and he's going to be with the Bethany trio all over again, hallelujah. Everything is now complete again. And our Lazarus, our tax brother, said Lazarus Was one of them that sat at the table Hallelujah. The devil says it's all over. The devil says you're dead, you're gone. But God, come on a Sunday morning To encourage somebody. You ain't gone too far it ain't over I got a place for you at my table.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah, now Lazarus is at Jesus' table, praise the Lord. Lazarus is sitting beside the one that made all of this, so hallelujah, praise the Lord. There is a place Beside the one that made all of this, so Hallelujah, praise the Lord. There is a place God wants you to be. It's under the shadow of the Almighty. There's a place you can get right next to the Savior.

Speaker 3:

And that's where Lazarus finds himself Lifeless, hopeless, and now he's sitting at the table. You remember when he brought you from the tomb. You remember when you were living a life of sin. Praise God for those words. Loose him and let him go. Thank God for the words. Loose him and let him go. Thank God for the come forth, hallelujah. Praise the Lord, and I'm closing right here.

Speaker 3:

Could I ask you an important question this morning? Come on, help us, brother Josh, if you will. Brother, where are you at this morning? Are you haunted by a grave of the sin of the past? Are you haunted by that grave? Spiritually, hear me this morning, lifeless, living in your failure. The devil magnifying all those failures, the devil magnifying that life of the past. Oh, there ain't no hope for you. The devil says you're doomed. Remember, I told you God did remember them, but after he forgave you of that past, after he forgave you of those sins, he said, he cast them into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be remembered again.

Speaker 3:

I was on a job Friday cutting a yard and a young lady stood before me and she was talking to me about her and her husband's new work at where they attend church and I seen the tears begin to well up in her eyes and I knew the devil was trying to work. I looked at her and I said Ma'am, that's God working in your family's life. She began to cry. She said the devil tells me I'm not good enough. The devil tells me it brings up everything about my past. You ever been there? The devil tells her, the stones done, been rolled before the door, you're dead. You're in a tomb. No sense in trying. He's still the father of all eyes. Today, right now, in this service, he's the Father of all eyes.

Speaker 3:

One man looked at me a few days before that and, as I was praying, god gave me a scripture for him. These young people ought to be able to quote it as much as I've preached it to them Though I walk through the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me. Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand Against the wrath of mine enemies, not to destroy them, but to put a limit on them. Enemies, not to destroy them, but to put a limit on them. And that scripture says in thy right hand shall save me, don't worry. That man looked at me and said preacher, how do you do that? The Holy Ghost fell and I truly said God, I need it right now, forever. He said how do you do that? And I said my friend, my definition of not worrying the way I feel the Holy Ghost, right now, this morning, we must rebuke the flesh and say help me to get out of the way of the Lord. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your path. When the devil says it's over, won't you stand with me this morning when the devil says you're doomed? I don't know what you're dealing with. I don't know exactly where you are this morning. Do you feel like Lazarus, decaying? Do you feel dead, spiritually, that is, but thank God, right here.

Speaker 3:

Thank God, he was invited to a man's house. That was an invitation that came to Lazarus Come on, come go with me. Thank God, you met a man For those of you that are saved this morning, but maybe you're struggling with something. Thank God, you met a man For those of you that are saved this morning, but maybe you're struggling with something. Thank God, you met a man, a man by the name of Jesus, that took you to his house and he sat you down at his table and he said come and dine, eat. He laid a feast before you. After he brought you out of that tomb, he brought you all the way to his table.

Speaker 3:

That's you, uh-uh, uh-uh. I felt that that's you. That's you. That's you. It's not for my brother, it's not for my sister, but it's for me. Oh Lord, every head bowed and every eye closed.

Speaker 3:

Preacher, you've talked to me today. Preacher, the Lord has dealt with my heart today. Could I tell you, just like he spoke life into Lazarus, he wants to speak that very same life into your spiritual soul. Today, brother and sister. Lazarus is proof that God is able. Just like Lazarus, the Lord can and the Lord wants to bring you from the chains of death that hold you down. He wants to bring you to a feast at His table where joy and life abound. Did you hear me saying it, god? Where joy and life abound, god can change it all. God can prove that he's faithful.

Speaker 3:

What about it this morning? Are you willing to turn to the Lord and heed that call? Come forth Before the church comes. There's a call coming out right now. Come forth Before the church comes. There's a call coming out right now. Come forth Before the church comes. Do you know the Lord this morning, are you living in a past failure, a past regret? Are you haunted by that grave of sin? There's a call right now Come forth. Are you going to be as Lazarus and obey that call right now? I'm talking to you this morning that you're just a little bit low, you're a little bit burdened down. I'm talking to you, come forth. There's a call, come forth. Where are you this morning? This altar's open right now. Come forth. There's a call, come forth. Where are you this morning? This altar is open right now. Come forth, come forth. Come forth Before the church comes. Come forth. They're stepping out. They're stepping out.

Speaker 3:

Heed to that call this morning. He's wanting to take you and pull you out of that tomb, that spiritual grave. He's wanting to bring you out, brother and sister. He's got a place waiting for you. He's got a special seat waiting with your name on it. He's got a feast waiting on you. Oh, hallelujah, I feel the Lord this morning. He's got a place at the table, at the master's table, waiting on you this morning. Step out, step out, come forth in the name of Jesus. Come forth, come on. We're going to linger just for a moment. Come forth.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm haunted Lord, I'm haunted. That young lady looked at me. She said the devil tells me I'm not good enough. The devil tells me, you remember when. You remember this, you remember this, you remember that. Look at this, look at that. But God said I don't remember. I've already forgiven you. Won't you come forth? Listen to the authority that you're hearing this morning? Lazarus, come forth.

Speaker 3:

All right, now let me talk to the church.

Speaker 3:

You come in this morning. I want to ask you have you forgotten where the Lord has brought you from? Have you Of late Been feasting At the master's table? You remember when you were in that condition? Do you remember when the Lord Gave that call to you? Yeah, preacher, I remember.

Speaker 3:

There's something I want the church to come pray about and that's this At the marriage supper, you and I, church, we will dine with him, we'll dine with the master, and all because he breathed eternal life Into our soul, all because he brought us from the tomb and he carried us all the way To the table. And you're a part of that church this morning and you're saying You're telling me preacher, that's me, I'm saved this morning, preacher, he pulled me out, but there's some things I need to pray about. This altar's open as the church is coming, the altar's open. Won't you meet me in these altars and pray about it? Won't you come this morning? Oh, if you don't feel the need to pray, won't you gather around some of these that have stepped out and say Lord, I've come to the altar today in a need of prayer. Lord, it's me that you've talked to. Lord, I'm standing in the need of prayer. It's not for my brother, it's not for my sister, but it's me. I've come today for deliverance, I've come for a refreshing.

Speaker 3:

Oh, could we not come around these altars, nonchalant, this morning? Could you put your heart into this altar? Jesus is. I said the Lord's come to help today. I said the Lord's come to love on somebody today. Won't you pour your heart out to Him today? Won't you thank Him that he saved you? Won't you thank Him that on your doomsday, when you were in a life of sin, when you were lost and undone without the Lord, in His mercy and in His grace, he came down and he forgave you? He came down and he said Loose him and let him go, bring him out of that pit, bring him out of that grave today. And he set you at the table of the master. He said come and die. Royal blood flowing through your veins. You've been bought with a price, royal blood. Today You're a child of the king.

Speaker 3:

Oh, but, preacher, I've been struggling with some things. Pray about it. Bring it to the altar and leave it there. Pray about it this morning. Talk to the altar and leave it there. Pray about it this morning. Talk to the Lord for a little while. If you're not saved in this altar, stay there until the Lord has saved you, until the Lord has redeemed you, until the Lord brings you out of that spiritual tomb.

Speaker 3:

And you say Lord, I want to do everything in my power to make it to the master's table. Let me be like lazarus and obey that voice. Take heed to that call. Come on. He's a loving you, he's a pulling on you, he's a pulling for you this morning. Come on, saints of god. I said he's a pulling for you this morning. Hallelujah, praise the Lord, come on, come on, pray about it. Oh, when you leave here today, I want it to be in your heart and in your mind. I want you to rejoice and bask in his presence and in his love. Oh, that he sanctified you, that he pulled you out Hallelujah, hallelujah. Now I'm feasting at a table, amen, of the master.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah, hallelujah, praise the Lord. Come on, children, oh, hallelujah, let the Lord help you. Let the Lord touch you today. Let the Lord help you. Let the Lord touch you today. Let the Lord touch you today. Praise the Lord, hallelujah, hallelujah. Take me back to Bethany, take me back to Bethany, lord. Oh, I want to dine with the Master. I want to dine with them, my brothers and my sisters, that the Lord has been so good to Lord. Let me get back to Bethany, oh, with a new heart, with joy, with life. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I hope you're praying in this altar this morning that God would get to glory for the situation you're dealing with. I hope you're praying God to God, be the glory. To God, be the glory, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh Lord, get in our hearts today. Lord, get deep down in our hearts and our minds. Oh God, I don't want to stay in the condition I'm in. I don't want to stay in this place where I am. Oh, there's a place higher, there's a place better, there's a place that the Lord has that he wants you to be. He wants you to make it to the apex today. I said he wants you to make it to the apex today. I said he wants you to make it to the apex today, to the highest of the highest. He wants to pick you all the way up, oh, from that low place that you're dealing with today. Oh, talk to the Lord, talk to the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Hallelujah. When I was wounded, lying on the ground In the blood of my transgressions, no hope of ever being found, the Lord passed by, saw me about to die. Oh, with compassion in His voice he spoke and I had to rise. When he said live, I had to breathe. When he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. Oh, when he said sing, I heard redemption song and he gave me the faith to carry on. Oh, when he said live. Oh, when he said live, I heard redemption song and he gave me the strength to carry on. Oh, when he said live. When you were dying, lying all alone, oh, you were beaten and battered from a harsh and cruel world. The Lord passed by, with love in His eyes.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he had mercy and forgiveness, and his word couldn't be denied. When he said live, I had to breathe. Oh, when he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. Oh, when he said sing, I heard redemption song, and he gave me the faith to carry on. Oh, and he said live, I had to breathe. When he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. Oh, when he said sing a redemption song, and he gave me the faith to carry on.

Speaker 1:

When he said live, when I was wounded, lying on the ground In the blood of my transgression, no hope of ever being found, the Lord passed by, saw me about to die and, with compassion in His voice, he spoke and I had to rise. When he said live, I had to rise. When he said live, I had to breathe. When he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. Oh, and he said sing our redemption song, redemption song, and he gave me the faith to carry on. When he said leave, I had to breathe. When he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. When he said sing A redemption song, and he gave me the faith To carry on. When he said live, oh, when you were dying, lying all alone, oh, beaten and battered From a harsh and cruel world, the Lord passed by with love in his eyes and he had mercy and forgiveness and his word couldn't be denied he said live.

Speaker 1:

I had to breathe. When he said dance, I filled him with melody. Oh. When he said sing, I heard redemption song and he gave me the faith to carry on. He gave me the faith to carry on. Hallelujah, I'm not going to stay here any longer. I take heed to the call. I'm taking heed to the call, hallelujah. And he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. Oh. And he said I heard a dancing song and he gave me the faith to carry on. When he said live, I had to breathe. When he said dance, I felt heaven's melody. When he said sing, I heard redemption song and he gave me the faith To carry on.

Speaker 3:

When he said live, oh, aren't you thankful he has the final say-so Hallelujah, and when he says live, you have to breathe Hallelujah. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, amen. I want some of you sisters to come help us pray.
